What's my bike due for?

Answer four questions to see a typical maintenance checklist. It's a starting point for a conversation, not a replacement for your owner's manual.

1. Type of bike
2. Current mileage
3. How you ride
4. Months since last service

General guidance based on common intervals across many models. Your manufacturer's schedule always comes first. Intervals vary widely, and some items (like valve checks) differ a lot between engines.

    Florida factor

Heat, humidity, and stop-and-go traffic count as "severe service" for many manufacturers. Fluids and batteries age faster here.

    Time matters too

Low-mileage bikes still need oil and brake fluid on a calendar schedule. Tires age even when they aren't ridden.
