Engine & drivetrain

From a slipping clutch to a weeping gasket or a tired top end, we take it apart carefully, measure, and tell you what we find before any repair.

Plates, springs, baskets, hydraulic slave and master cylinders, and cable clutches.

Questions

My bike sat for a year and won't run right. What now?

Stale fuel usually gums up the carburetors or injectors. We'll clean the fuel system, then check the battery, tires, brakes, and fluids before the bike goes back on the road. See recommissioning.

How long do engine repairs take?

It depends mostly on parts. Common parts often arrive in a few days, while some backordered or older-model parts can take weeks. We'll give you an honest estimate up front.

Do you work on vintage bikes?

Many, yes, especially carbureted bikes from the '70s onward. Ask about yours and we'll tell you honestly whether we're the right shop.
